Ride Back To Faith

After an old argument with his father, Hermann Weiskopf left the Church. Decades later, he feels the consequences: he cannot become a confirmation sponsor, a church wedding never happened, and his own faith has almost disappeared. Following Brother Martin’s advice, he sets out for Rome during the Holy Year as a pilgrim of hope.

He takes the Vespa instead of walking and meets people along the way whose stories speak of prayer, doubt, illness, forgiveness, hospitality, and lived charity. At the end there is no simple answer, but a quiet change: reconciliation with his father, a church wedding with Paula, and the desire to meet other people with a more open heart.
